The Club
SDMCC was formed over 25 years ago, originally to race nitro on-road cars, but a few years later the club changed to 1/10 electric off-road. In the late 1990’s SDMCC merged with the Adelaide Radio Controlled Raceway (Mitchell Park) and continued to race at Mitchell Park racing circuit. In 2005 the unused SDMCC track was converted to 1/8 scale off-road nitro/electric cars and has continued to develop its facilities. The circuit has become the premier circuit for SA and regularly runs national-class events.
Racing is every 2nd Sunday in line with our racing calendar. We have a friendly have-a-go atmosphere. Come down, have a chat, bring your car and go racing!

The Track
Constructed on a public reserve the layout has been regularly updated to be challenging and fun for all drivers. The surface is compacted and weather resistant. The layout can be changed on any given race day, varying the circuit. The track consists of several jumps, tight hairpins and flowing corners. Less common features are they paved section of track and a cross-over layout. Fast laps for the full layout are mid 40-seconds. Other layouts are 30-seconds+
In late 2020 we upgraded our car-park and also added a perimeter fence.
